Under the ownership of the same family for many generations, Norfolk House has had several reincarnations – once upon a time a popular greengrocers, and latterly a renowned hardware-come-lifestyle store which turned into a much-loved ‘destination’ for the folk of Norfolk.

The house, still owned by the same family, has now been transformed into a superb holiday property by using their experience and skills at designing interiors that are comfortable and elegant, with a touch of grown-up sophistication. A spacious house, this lovely property is certainly a relaxing place to be and an ideal, romantic bolt hole for two, at any time of the year.

With a choice of two sitting areas, one to the front of the house and another to the rear, you can spread out and easily find a peaceful spot if you so desire. The open-plan living/sitting and dining area is a lovely daytime space, where french doors can be opened to the courtyard garden when the days are sunny and warm, and an open fire to light when the nights draw in.

On the first floor, the king-size master bedroom is approached from a spacious landing area and enjoys a luxurious en-suite with a fabulous roll top bath for the ultimate indulgent soak after a busy day out exploring under Norfolk’s renowned big blue skies. If you prefer to shower, there is a separate shower room on this floor too.

Outside, to the back of the house, is an enclosed, south-east facing courtyard garden; the perfect option for daytime and evening outdoor dining when the climate allows, as well as chilling out and catching the sun on a summer’s day.

Energetic types will love walking or cycling along the coastal and inland pathways; bird watchers will be in seventh heaven with RSPB Snettisham close by; foodies will be spoilt for choice for places to eat; and if visiting historic houses is your thing, Sandringham House and estate is only a short drive away.
